Research

The Australian Institute for Consciousness Studies research focuses on the investigation of the nature, origins, and role of consciousness in human existence and the natural world. By expanding the studies  of consciousness to include first-person investigations, science will have access to an entirely new set of data from which to study the nature of consciousness. Thus science will, for the first time, have access from an entirely new perspective. Our research focuses on three main areas:

  1. First-person observation of mental states
  2. Third-person exploration of mind/brain correlates
  3. Third-person exploration of mind/behaviour correlates

Current Research Projects

  1. Collaborative for Mind Science Innovations and Translational Research Project
  2. Enhanced Mindfulness Project

Proposed Research Projects

  1. The Effects of Non-Dual Meditation on Dispositional Narrative: more information coming shortly.
  2. Mindfulness in Education Research Collaborative.
